Wouldn’t it be nice to live a life where a vacation isn’t needed?

From taking care of your family to accomplishing daily responsibilities it is easy to neglect our needs. So how do you take care of yourself and create balance so that you don’t exhaust yourself? It can be challenging and I completely understand, but it is possible!

By practicing self-love you are giving your mind and body the support it needs so that you can function at your best.

These are 3 of the best ways to develop the practice of self-love in your life.

Do something you are good at -

Self-esteem and self-love go hand in hand. Do something you enjoy and you are proud of and it will make the world of a difference in your life! Doing this will not only boost your endorphins, but it will also bring out the best version of you. Painting, cooking, blogging… are a few ideas, but I know there are many more to pick from.

Be grateful -

Gratitude is such an important practice that should take place each morning. From the roof over our head, the food in our stomach, the clothing on our back, The legs we walk with, the hands we work with… there are so many things to be grateful for that we often take for granted.

Try listing 5 things (or more) and read that list each morning. Our troubles should not control us if we know and understand how great life really is!

Be YOU! -

Know that you hold many unique talents. You are a strong individual, you are unique, and you have a lot to offer the world!

Your talents, your traits, your abilities are yours to cultivate. Don’t waste your time trying to change the things that don’t need to be changed!

Instead, focus on enhancing the abilities and attributes that make you the unique individual you are!

Be intentional of your thoughts and never let go of knowing your worth. If you have thoughts that make you feel strong and able then keep them, but if you have thoughts that are negative and not supportive make it a point to let those thoughts go!

There is only 1 YOU so enjoy the life God gave you and enjoy being the person you are made to be! Never let the troubles and stresses of this world bring you down and remember to take care of your needs so that you can be the best version of you while you are here.
